These look great. My concern would be that most people aren't able to drop $80k on a new electric car. EVs need to address "range anxiety" and charging speed - but they also need to become less expensive.

The EV startup Aptera addresses this by changing the aerodynamic profile of their car. Their three-wheeled cars look "strange" as a result, but can be as inexpensive as $26,000 with a 400-mile range, or $45,000 for a 1,000-mile range. They will also have solar panels, so they're supposedly able to "never charge" if you live in a sunny place.

In the near-future, I'm hopeful sodium battery chemistries will lower the cost of EVs to be cost-competitive with ICE cars. But barring design creativity, EVs today still seem to be the province of an affluent minority.
